Job Description

Internal Medicine Veterinary Surgeon

Are you a dedicated veterinary professional seeking a role that offers both professional growth and a supportive work environment? Look no further. This position offers a competitive salary up to £73,000, depending on your experience and development within the role.

Imagine enjoying 6.6 weeks of annual leave, including bank holidays, and having access to Private Medical Insurance with BUPA. With an annual CPD allowance of up to £2,000 and up to 5 paid CPD days, your continuous professional development is well supported. If relocation is on your mind, assistance is available to make your transition smoother.

The ideal candidate will either hold an internal medicine certificate or be working towards one. Alternatively, a strong GP vet with a keen interest in medicine, particularly diagnostic imaging, will thrive in this fast paced hospital environment. You will be part of a team that handles a large and complex caseload, providing you with ample opportunities to hone your skills.

This full time role spans a 40 hour week, including a 1:3 Saturday and 1:6 Sunday rotation, along with a fair on call rotation and 2 bank holidays per year. The shift pattern alternates between 9am to 7pm and 12pm to 10pm, allowing you to collaborate with both the day and dedicated night teams.

The hospital offers first rate first opinion, emergency, critical care, and referral services. You will benefit from excellent diagnostic support, including a CT scanner and a commercial laboratory. The hospital boasts a strong medical team, experienced surgeons performing advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgeries, and a dedicated nursing team comprising RVNs, students, nursing assistants, and front of house staff. On site clinical managers ensure you have the support you need.

Located on the outskirts of leafy East London, there are quick and direct transport links to all areas of London. The area is known for its vibrant café and restaurant culture, providing plenty of options for leisure and relaxation.

Visa sponsorship available.
