Interim Financial Manager

• Contribute to a major international scientific programme
• Support local and global finance operations across a multifaceted organisation
• Work within a collaborative team focused on accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement
• Gain exposure to international reporting structures and cross border financial processes

• Oversee day to day activities of the local finance team
• Manage end to end financial ledger responsibilities, including monthly accounts and reconciliations
• Review payroll calculations, statutory submissions (EMP201/501), and regulatory reporting
• Liaise with relevant authorities (SARS, DIRCO) on tax, customs, and VAT matters
• Review and approve requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and banking authorisations
• Support documentation of finance processes, internal controls, and audit walkthroughs
• Act as primary contact for annual external and internal audits
• Assist in preparing annual financial statements
• Partner with ERP system teams to improve finance processes and controls
• Monitor IFRS and regulatory changes and advise on required accounting updates
• Provide training and support to finance and non finance staff
• Travel as required and support broader organisational projects and duties
