An amazing opportunity is now available for an Instrumentation & Control Engineer to provide design and engineering for instrumentation and control systems supporting industrial processing, mining, petrochemical, energy, and other complex facilities. This role is based in Johannesburg.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop instrumentation design deliverables (datasheets, specifications, IO lists, cause & effect, loop diagrams).
  • Perform control system architecture development and DCS/PLC system specification.
  • Select instruments based on process design inputs.
  • Review vendor documents and ensure alignment with project standards.
  • Support HAZOP, LOPA, SIL classification and safety instrumented systems.
  • Coordinate with process, electrical, mechanical, and design teams.
  • Participate in FAT/SAT and commissioning support.
  • Ensure compliance with ISA, IEC, SANS and applicable industry standards.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical / instrumentation Engineering.
  • 5-10+ years industrial instrumentation engineering experience.
  • Experience with major DCS/PLC platforms (Siemens, ABB, Honeywell, Yokogawa).
  • Knowledge of hazardous area classifications and intrinsic safety.
