An amazing opportunity is now available for an Instrumentation & Control Engineer to provide design and engineering for instrumentation and control systems supporting industrial processing, mining, petrochemical, energy, and other complex facilities. This role is based in Johannesburg.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop instrumentation design deliverables (datasheets, specifications, IO lists, cause & effect, loop diagrams).
- Perform control system architecture development and DCS/PLC system specification.
- Select instruments based on process design inputs.
- Review vendor documents and ensure alignment with project standards.
- Support HAZOP, LOPA, SIL classification and safety instrumented systems.
- Coordinate with process, electrical, mechanical, and design teams.
- Participate in FAT/SAT and commissioning support.
- Ensure compliance with ISA, IEC, SANS and applicable industry standards.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical / instrumentation Engineering.
- 5-10+ years industrial instrumentation engineering experience.
- Experience with major DCS/PLC platforms (Siemens, ABB, Honeywell, Yokogawa).
- Knowledge of hazardous area classifications and intrinsic safety.
