IntroductionARE YOU OUR NEXT INHOUSE SUPERVISOR? We are seeking X3 Inhouse Supervisors to lead, oversee, and coordinate transportation and customer service operations at the client site, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
YOUR CORE FOCUS AREAS:
- Directly supervise, allocate, and control dispatch team activities to ensure
efficient, compliant operations. - Manage the receipt, system validation, and allocation of jobs and stock in line
with customer and City Logistics systems and cut-off times. - Verify that all stock is accurately sorted and properly labelled.
- Organize stock according to designated regional areas.
- Prepare and organize all manifests and delivery notes.
- Plan, execute, and control daily dispatch and load plans in line with the customer requirements, space availability, and delivery cut-off times.
- Maintain and enforce health and safety standards in the workplace.
- Identify operational issues and report them promptly.
- Ensure vehicle information is communicated to the appropriate personnel.
- Inspire, organize, and foster teamwork to meet productivity goals.
- Generate and submit daily dispatch reports.
- Compile and reconcile job records from the previous night's activities.
- Act as the first point of escalation during go-live and daily operations, resolving issues timeously and escalating risks to management where required.
- Ensure system transactions align with physical stock movements, investigating and resolving discrepancies immediately.
- Identify, record, and elevate shortages, damages, and dispatch nonconformances in line with claims and risk procedures.
- Monitor dispatch productivity, accuracy, and on-time performance against agreed KPIs, taking corrective action where required.
- Ensure dispatch staff are fit for duty, correctly briefed, and compliant with uniform, PPE, and behavioural standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Matric
- Diploma in Supply Chain or related field would be an advantage.
- A minimum of 2 - 4 years working experience in logistics in a similar role.
- Effective communication on all levels within the organization and with customers.
- Computer literate and excel proficiency.
- Knowledge of vehicle loading, staff management & planning.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Good staff management skills and the ability to manage a diverse team.
