Responsibilities- Oversee network infrastructure (SD WAN, switches, firewalls, VPNs) for secure and efficient connectivity.
- Regularly apply OS/software updates, firmware, and security patches to ensure compliance and security.
- Manage and verify backup and recovery processes for data integrity and business continuity.
- Maintain and monitor physical and virtual servers for optimal performance, availability, and reliability.
- Administer and optimize virtualisation and cloud platforms, supporting hybrid environments, and ensuring infrastructure alignment with policies and regulations.
- Provide advanced technical support (Tier 2/3) for escalated infrastructure issues and complex Unified Communications (telephony) issues, partnering with vendors as needed.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies via identity platforms.
- Use monitoring tools for proactive issue resolution and maintain detailed documentation of configurations and procedures.
- Microsoft Certified, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or similar.
- 3+ years in infrastructure administration, managing enterprise systems and networks.
- Strong hands on experience with Windows/Linux Servers, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and virtualisation.
- Solid understanding of LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and network security principles.
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, bash) for automation and efficiency.
- Experience with enterprise and cloud backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
- Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative, high emotional intelligence (EQ), and ability to work with cross functional teams/vendors.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and familiarity with system monitoring tools and proactive maintenance.
