Industrial Quality EngineerAlstom - ALP45 Project (Fixed Term Role - August 2027) - Nigel site.
Role OverviewApply your industrial quality expertise in a cutting edge field with a collaborative, dynamic, and innovative team of professionals. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring product quality compliance with customer and internal specifications, driving quality performance and achieving operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Managing industrial activities in the workshop, focusing on people, processes, and performance
- Leading efficient Line Quality Animation with cross functional teams
- Ensuring mandatory safety and quality standards are upheld, including authority to stop production if necessary
- Contributing to Process FMEA and Criticality Matrix analysis
- Implementing and updating Quality Control Plans during pre and serial manufacturing activities
- Managing Internal NCR and supporting the team using problem solving methodologies
- Analyzing Defects per Unit and External Demerits to improve quality performance
- Supporting decision making for production handovers and participating in customer inspections
- Degree or diploma in Quality Management, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 5 years of experience with Quality in Industrial settings
- Technical background enabling understanding of critical characteristics of the products (electromechanical, electrical, material, mechanical) or equivalent
- Ability to read drawings/specifications and familiarity with a variety of test equipment
- Experience or understanding of quality tools and problem solving methodologies
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO9001, IRIS, or CMMI
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and digital tools
- A Lean Six Sigma or equivalent certification
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
