Job Description

Teneo is currently looking for an Economics Teacher to join our IEB FET department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Economics curriculum, be confident using digital tools to deliver high-quality online instruction, and be committed to fostering an engaging, supportive, and interactive virtual learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Economics lessons to students in an online format.

  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that encourage critical thinking, economic reasoning, and real-world application of economic concepts.

  • Create and manage online course materials, including lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and examination preparation resources.

  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge across core Economics topics in line with the IEB curriculum requirements.

  • Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback to support academic development and performance.

  • Facilitate interactive and collaborative learning experiences through virtual platforms, discussions, case studies, and data analysis activities.

  • Stay up to date with developments in Economics education, curriculum changes, and best practices in online teaching.

  • Maintain regular and professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support student learning and wellbeing.

  • Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance subject knowledge and online teaching practice.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Economics, or a related field.

  • Relevant teaching certification and qualifications.

  • Minimum of 5 years' teaching experience in Economics, preferably with experience in an online or blended learning environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to engage and motivate students in a virtual learning setting.

  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
