ICT Project Lead (Incubation)

Our client in Port Elizabeth is looking for an ICT Project Lead with Incubator experience.will be responsible for designing, executing, and continuously improving incubation and acceleration journeys for ICT-focused startups and SMEs. This includes ventures operating in software development, digital platforms, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and smart infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Design and manage structured incubation and acceleration programs for ICT startups.
  
• Support and mentor entrepreneurs in business development, product-market fit, technical planning, and investor readiness.
  
• Oversee startup intake, onboarding, progress tracking, and graduation processes.
  
• Build and maintain partnerships with universities, corporates, funders, and government stakeholders.
  
• Represent the organization at ICT and innovation events.
  
• Monitor program performance, track KPIs, and compile impact and evaluation reports.
  
• Prepare funding proposals and secure grants or partnerships to strengthen ICT initiatives.
  

• Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Business Development, Computer science or related.
  
• 5+ years experience in entrepreneurship development and technology incubation.
  
• Experience working with ICT startup, SMEs or innovation hubs.
  
• Familiarity with funding and support mechanisms for tech-based companies.
  
• Experience in grant writing or managing donor funded-programs.
  
• Knowledge of South African digital and innovation policy environment.
