Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced HVAC Air Conditioning Technician to join the Perseverance team.
Responsibilities- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and thermostats
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues using specialized tools and testing equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to prevent breakdowns and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Recharge refrigerants and ensure proper handling according to environmental standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Replace or repair defective components (motors, compressors, fans, thermostats, etc.)
- Calibrate systems for maximum efficiency and comfort
- Keep accurate maintenance records and service reports
- Communicate with clients or site personnel to explain work done and offer maintenance advice
- Comply with all local HVAC codes, safety standards, and company procedures
- Grade 12
- Trade Tested Refrigeration Mechanic / Electrician
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Technician in HVAC/Refrigeration
- Valid Safe Handling of Refrigerants Certificate (advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of electrical components, wiring, and control systems
- Valid driver's license
- Candiate must reside in PE / Uitenhage area
