Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced HVAC Air Conditioning Technician to join the Perseverance team.

Responsibilities
  • Install, service, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and thermostats
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues using specialized tools and testing equipment
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to prevent breakdowns and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Recharge refrigerants and ensure proper handling according to environmental standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Replace or repair defective components (motors, compressors, fans, thermostats, etc.)
  • Calibrate systems for maximum efficiency and comfort
  • Keep accurate maintenance records and service reports
  • Communicate with clients or site personnel to explain work done and offer maintenance advice
  • Comply with all local HVAC codes, safety standards, and company procedures
Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Trade Tested Refrigeration Mechanic / Electrician
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Technician in HVAC/Refrigeration
  • Valid Safe Handling of Refrigerants Certificate (advantageous)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical components, wiring, and control systems
  • Valid driver's license
  • Candiate must reside in PE / Uitenhage area
