Who We Are Looking ForReporting to the Director, HR, Africa Region, this position is responsible for supporting strategic HR leadership and operational initiatives in the Africa region. This includes strengthening HR operations and change management related to our future organisational setup.
The role combines hands-on operational HR support with advisory and analytical support, with a strong focus on compliance and the implementation of HR-related change management across the region.
What You Will Work OnHR Operations and Employee Lifecycle
- Advise and support on recruitment, onboarding, contract management, performance management, and offboarding
- Provide guidance on disciplinary processes, grievance handling, and staff relations
HR Policies, Procedures and Compliance
- Interpret and apply global HR practices and policies in the South African and regional context
- Advise on compliance with South African labour law and relevant regional frameworks
- Identify gaps between global policies and local practice and propose pragmatic solutions
Payroll, Benefits and Compensation Support
- Liaise with payroll providers and finance teams to support accurate payroll processing
- Ensure that all monthly tax payments (where applicable), statutory and regulatory deductions and other returns are accurate, complete, and remitted on time
- Advise on and manage all benefits administration (e.g. medical, pension), benchmarked against local market practices
- Support salary benchmarking and provide input into compensation-related reviews as required
General Office Administration
- Coordinate and lead an efficient administrative service in relation to general office and facility management of GardaWorld offices in Johannesburg, including routine maintenance by third-party contractors
- Execute administrative services on behalf of GardaWorld in line with set policies, standards, and service level agreements
- Direct and plan essential central services such as reception activities, cleaning, and catering
- Facilitate local and international travel for GardaWorld South Africa-based staff and visitors to the Johannesburg office
- Support potential expatriate candidates and South Africa-based staff with work visas, relocation, and work permit documentation
- The Director, HR - Africa, to whom the role is accountable
- Regional and local leadership teams across the Africa region
- Payroll providers, finance teams, and third-party service providers
- Employees and stakeholders at all levels across multiple geographies

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Human Resources, Business Management, Administration, Organisation Development, or a related field
- Extensive experience (7+ years) as an HR Business Partner or administration professional, preferably in a commercial environment
- Strong knowledge of South African labour law and HR best practices
- Demonstrated experience supporting organisational change processes
- Proven ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
- Ability to work effectively in complex, multi-country organisational environments
- Strong advisory and coaching skills
- High level of cultural sensitivity and discretion in managing complex and sensitive HR cases
