Red Ember Recruitment is seeking an experienced HR Generalist, based in the Northern Suburbs, Cape Town, to join our client's team on a maternity cover contract within the construction industry.
The successful candidate will support the HR Manager across the full HR function and will be responsible for managing multiple HR projects and administrative processes in a fast-paced environment. This role is a good fit for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who works accurately, maintains confidentiality, and always shows a professional approach.
KeyResponsibilities
- Maintainemployee records and HR documentation across various projects
- Prepareemployment contracts, letters, and HR correspondence
- Coordinateonboarding and general employee administration
- Assist withpayroll processes, including leave and attendance data from the time andattendance system
- Supportmanagement with disciplinary, grievance, and performance processes
- Preparedocumentation, coordinate hearings, and maintain confidential employeerelations records
- Manage thefull employee contract lifecycle, including drafting, renewals, amendments, andcompliance
- Coordinatetraining administration and maintain accurate records
- Assist withBEE administration and related compliance requirements
- Compile reports and support general HRadministration
Education & Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field(minimum Diploma)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar HR Generalistrole, preferably within the construction industry
- Working knowledge of Sage People would be advantageous
- Experience working with ERS Bio time and attendance systems
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience working across multiple projects or departments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information withprofessionalism
