About our client:

Our client is a highly successful and purpose-driven group with a global shared services hub based in Cape Town. They are far more than a travel company; they act as a vital platform connecting world-class hospitality with large-scale environmental impact across Africa's most iconic wilderness areas. The organization prides itself on a culture of continuous improvement and ethical behaviour, where the mission is to ensure that natural ecosystems and local communities thrive together. You will join a collaborative, friendly team that avoids rigid hierarchies and values individual contribution. While they "think big" and move fast to protect vulnerable landscapes, they are deeply employee-centric, offering unusually generous benefits and a genuine commitment to work/life balance. This is an opportunity to bring your expertise to a stable yet growing organization where profit meets a profound sense of purpose. They are looking for adaptable, long-term partners who are ready to help drive positive change at scale.

What you will be doing:
  • Provide daily HR support, manage employee records and documentation, and ensure compliance with legal and policy requirements.
  • Assist with recruitment (job posting, shortlisting, interviewing) and facilitate smooth onboarding/orientation for new hires.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for staff queries, support engagement initiatives, wellness programmes, and internal communications.
  • Support the implementation of performance review cycles and employee development plans.
  • Coordinate employee exit processes, prepare final documentation, and assist with HR reporting and compliance submissions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and overall employee experience.
  • Assist HRBPs in executing HR projects and strategic initiatives across both entities.
What our client is looking for:
  • A relevant tertiary degree would be beneficial (Human Resources, Business Administration, etc.)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labour law, and compliance.
  • Experience with multiple entities/business units and HRIS platforms (Recruitee, Lattice) is advantageous.
  • Empathetic, approachable, and builds trust easily.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and anticipates HR needs.
  • Adaptable, resourceful, and able to manage priorities across two entities.
  • Demonstrates high professional integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Collaborative and a continuous learner focused on staying current with HR trends.
