Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert HR advice on employee relations, managing local organizational changes, and ensuring all people practices comply with South African labor laws.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Lead Employee Relations and Coaching: Respond to inquiries and provide expert coaching to people leaders on performance management, discipline, and grievances to maintain a high-performing workplace.

  • Manage Organizational Change and Compliance: Execute local reorganizations and reductions in force (RIFs) while ensuring full alignment with local labor laws and maintaining strong relationships with employee representatives.

  • Support the Employee Life-Cycle and Projects: Deliver key HR projects in partnership with global teams and manage essential life-cycle events, including onboarding, vetting, and employment documentation.

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or Employee Relations role.

  • Strong knowledge of South African labor legislation and practical experience managing complex, sensitive employee issues.

  • Proven ability in stakeholder management, with the skill to influence outcomes across a matrixed global environment.

  • A University Degree in Human Resources or a related field; professional HR certification is preferred.

  • Full professional proficiency in English.
