Housekeeping Team Lead
Job Description
As a Housekeeping Team Lead, reporting into the Lodge Manager, you will be responsible for leading the housekeeping team and overseeing daily housekeeping operations of guest rooms, front and back-of-house areas at Saseka Tented Camp. You will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards and protocols are adhered to at all times.
What you will be doing- Lead housekeeping team members and assign daily tasks
- Conduct room checks to ensure cleanliness of all guest rooms and front of house areas
- Prepare daily inspection reports
- Adhere to housekeeping SOPs
- Conduct monthly stock takes and complete month-end duties
- Order cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Train and develop the housekeeping team, including toolbox talks
- Ensure compliance with all standards
- Leadership, with proven success in building and leading a team
- Communication
- Time management
- Ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively with a team
- Excellent command of the English language
- Ability to fluently communicate in a second language (preference to one of the local languages in the Hoedspruit area)
- Computer Literate (specifically Excel)
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Housekeeping Team Lead (or similar) within a high-end environment (preferably a luxury safari lodge)
- Must have experience leading a housekeeping team
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety standards within a high-end environment
- Grade 12 Matric (completed)
- Hospitality related qualification will be advantageous
- Contract type: Permanent
- Site: Saseka Tented Camp (Hoedspruit)
- Work cycle: 3 weeks on : 1 week off
- Remuneration: Cash + Provident Fund
- We provide: Accommodation, Meals (while on duty) and Uniform
