St Benedict's is an Independent Catholic School which seeks to provide a holistic education for boys through full participation in spiritual, academic, sporting, creative and cultural activities. The Board of Governors invites applications for the following post in the College.
Position: Head of Water Polo (Whole School) Requirements- Possess a tertiary qualification in the sporting field or studying towards one through a recognised tertiary education
- Have at least 3 - 5 years' coaching experience and be able to contribute to a variety of sporting codes
- Water polo refereeing course, advanced knowledge of water polo rules
- Planning, managing, overseeing and attending fixtures
- Responsible for arranging medics, referees, venues and equipment during fixtures
- Must be able to manage the facility - outdoor swimming pool
- Provincial or National representation as a water polo player would be advantageous
- Be an enthusiastic contributor to sports education, tours and the broader school programme
- Maintain a professional stance in keeping up with the latest coaching trends
- Have good people skills and be able to work positively with boys and parents around sports issues
- Have excellent communication, administrative, planning and organisational skills
- Be willing to participate in the Catholic Ethos of the School
