Job Description
The handyman is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and installation tasks to ensure that buildings, facilities, and equipment remain in good working condition. The role requires practical skills, problem solving ability, and attention to detail.
What you will bring- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in building maintenance or handyman services. Proven ability to handle a wide range of repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general upkeep.
- Grade 12 and/or any basic handymen certificates.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Good time management and ability to work independently.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Knowledge required: painting products and techniques, plumbing, carpentry, tiling, waterproofing, general safety standards.
- Reliability and Responsibility: Consistently completes tasks on time and takes accountability for assigned work.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures repairs and maintenance work are completed accurately and to a high standard.
- Problem Solving Ability: Identifies issues quickly and applies practical solutions using available resources.
- Initiative: Proactively identifies maintenance needs and addresses them without constant supervision.
