A leading distributor is seeking a meticulous and experienced e-Commerce Product Loader to manage its digital catalogue across South Africa's premier marketplace platforms. This part-time role (4 hours per day) is critical to the brand's online presence, requiring a specialist who can navigate the technical nuances of diverse seller portals with speed and precision. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end listing process, ensuring that product data is not only accurate and compliant but also structured to drive visibility and sales.

This is a half-day, on-site position perfectly suited for a process-driven individual who enjoys the technical side of e-commerce operations and marketplace management.

Key Responsibilities

Execute the end-to-end creation and maintenance of product listings on Makro Marketplace, Leroy Merlin, Amazon, and Takealot.

Optimise product titles, descriptions, and technical specifications to ensure alignment with specific marketplace algorithms and SEO best practices.

Manage complex data attributes, including category mapping, multi-variation listings, and stock synchronisation.

Conduct regular audits of live listings to identify and resolve compliance issues, errors, or missing information.

Coordinate with internal departments to gather high-quality assets, including imagery and technical data sheets.

Oversee bulk upload processes using platform-specific templates to ensure efficient catalogue expansion.

Monitor listing health and conversion performance, making data-driven updates to improve customer experience.

Maintain absolute data consistency across all active e-commerce channels.

Requirements

Experience working on ecommerce platforms - Makro Marketplace, Leroy Merlin, Amazon, and Takealot

Minimum of 3 years of dedicated experience in e-commerce product loading or marketplace coordination.

Proven hands-on proficiency with the backend seller portals of Takealot, Amazon (SA), Makro, and Leroy Merlin.

Advanced understanding of marketplace-specific listing requirements and metadata structures.

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data manipulation and bulk uploads.

Exceptional attention to detail with a track record of managing high volumes of data without errors.

Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines within a half-day schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

Direct experience in SEO copywriting for e-commerce product pages.

Previous experience managing large-scale catalogue migrations or new platform launches.

Familiarity with marketplace compliance standards and dispute resolution regarding content.

Required Software Skills

Google Sheets

Basic Image Editing software (advantageous for resizing/optimising product photos)

Half-day 8h00 - 12h00 or 9h00 - 13h00 with flexibility
