Overview

Graduate Teaching Assistant - Maths Science English Psychology Health & Social Care, East London

We are working with a range of schools across East London who are looking to appoint Graduate Teaching Assistants with degrees such as Maths, Science, English, Psychology or Health & Social Care.

This role is ideal for a university graduate who is considering a future career in education, psychology, teaching or pastoral support, and is keen to gain hands-on experience working with children and young people.

The role
  • Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Providing academic support within your subject specialism
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEND
  • Assisting with behaviour management and pupil engagement
  • Working closely with teaching and pastoral staff
The ideal candidate
  • Holds a degree in Maths, Science, English, Psychology or Health & Social Care or other relevant degree
  • Is passionate about education and supporting pupils
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is patient, adaptable and proactive
  • Is considering a career in education or child-focused roles
