Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced tutor to provide individualized instruction to a Grade 6 CAPS student in English, focusing on building foundational skills in reading and writing. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in English, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to individual students' needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide in-person tutoring to a Grade 6 CAPS student in English
  • Develop and implement effective learning strategies to improve the student's reading and writing skills
  • Start with phonics and build foundational skills
  • Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment
  • Monitor student progress and adjust tutoring approach as needed
  • Communicate regularly with the student and parents to provide feedback and updates
Requirements
  • Relevant academic qualifications (degree or diploma) in English or related field
  • Strong knowledge of Grade 6 CAPS English curriculum and assessment standardsExperience teaching or tutoring Grade 6 CAPS students in English
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual students' needs
