Job Title: Gas Product Technician

Salary: Up to R6500 CTC (this is a base level role and this person will be taught and have the ability to grow in the company)

Area: Woodmead, Jhb

Based full time onsite , permanent role.

The successful individual must be teachable and willing to learn and grow in the organisation over time. Great foot-in-the-door position for someone with a great attitude willing to proof themselves.

Driver's license is essential.

The technician's responsibilities include servicing gas and electrical products, diagnosing problems and troubleshooting equipment, running tests and completing reports, and repairing or replacing faulty equipment. You should collaborate with other professionals and be able to make useful recommendations wherever possible. To be successful as a technician, you should demonstrate strong self-discipline and a passion for technology. Outstanding technicians possess sound knowledge of their trade and superb active listening skills.

• Inspect, analyse, and troubleshoot products. After analysis, repair products where possible and complete entire service call according to documented procedures.
• Keep abreast of latest products. Study manuals to better understand the products.
• Where necessary, make recommendations to Senior Technician / Service Manager on how to improve process, or better repairs processes
• Provide training to customers and/or stores on safe usage of our products
• Follow company Health and Safety standards and procedures. Report any accident/incident to your line manager immediately.
• Understanding and safe usage of Gas and Electrical products.
• Mechanical ability (use of hand tools, power tools)
• Providing good customer service and upholding the company image at all times.
• Assist with ad hoc and scheduled cycle counts and investigations of variances.
• To follow all other reasonable instructions from Senior Technician or Service Manager

• Matric with science or a technical subject
• NQF 4 Qualification in a mechanical or similar field would be very adv.
• Experience as a technician of electrical appliances is advantageous.
• A valid driver's license.
• Fluent in English
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
