Job Description

An innovative online school is seeking a Part Time Fractional Chief Human Resources Officer to provide strategic HR leadership on a part time basis, approximately 15 hours per week for 3 months. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in guiding organisations through compliance, governance, and people strategy while balancing operational excellence with long term vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Governance: Oversee Department of Labor employee submissions, ensuring compliance with all requirements for designated employees.
  • Employee Relations: Advise leadership on employee relations matters, including performance management and conflict resolution.
  • Policy Development: Provide input into HR policies that are fit for purpose, legally compliant, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • People Strategy: Contribute to the design and execution of a forward looking people strategy that supports growth and engagement.
  • Recruitment Strategy: Advise on recruitment approaches to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  • HR Systems: Offer input into HR systems and processes to enhance efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.
Requirements Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including governance and compliance.
  • Proven track record advising on employee relations and performance management.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to people strategy and recruitment frameworks.
  • Familiarity with HR systems and technology platforms.
  • Exceptional communication, consultative, and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fractional/part time executive capacity.
