Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Fire Engineer to support major engineering and infrastructure projects within a dynamic consulting environment. The role focuses on fire risk management, compliance, and design integration across complex industrial and mining projects.

This is an opportunity to work on large-scale, multidisciplinary projects, ensuring fire safety standards are embedded from concept through to execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review fire protection and fire detection system designs
  • Conduct fire risk assessments and hazard analyses
  • Ensure compliance with fire safety standards and regulations
  • Support multidisciplinary engineering teams with fire safety integration
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation
  • Participate in HAZOP and HAZID reviews
  • Provide input into emergency response planning
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and commissioning support
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and authorities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum 7+ years' experience in fire engineering within industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of fire protection systems
  • Experience in EPCM or consulting environment
  • Familiarity with NFPA, ISO or equivalent standards
  • Fire modelling experience advantageous
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail and safety focus
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Willingness to travel to project sites
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in fast paced environments
