Job Description

To document all financial operational activities in relation to trading deals in the trading systems (Aspect and SAP) and ensure efficient document management in line with business processes in support of the Physical Operators to ensure efficient delivery of operations.

What you have done before

Minimum:

  • NQF Level 7 (Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Finance/Accounting or Related Field)
  • 5 years experience in Trading/ Shipping Supply/ Logistics Operation or Finance
  • Comprehensive experience in SAP and Aspect

Advantageous:

  • 7 years experience in O&G
  • Experience in Finance and Scheduling Operations
What you'll be doing

Trading System Management & Reporting

  • Execution of all Trading deals within Aspect and SAP
  • Proper record keeping of all deal documents
  • Recon and settlement of all operational invoices
  • Capture information per the Business Process
  • Opening of LCs as per Trading deals.
  • Capture all documents required to support claims, payments and disputes.
  • Ensure settlement of secondary fees are processed before due dates.
  • Clearance of cargo into South Africa via our clearing agents. Proper recons in place and aligned with the Tax Department.
  • Ensure that issues, non-conformance, deadline compliance are managed effectively
  • Ensure that operational entries are documented into the trading system per procedures and policy

Data Integrity & Reporting

  • Report on Aspect and SAP system data capturing status to management monthly
  • Submit and highlight deviations to Aspect system deadlines and policies to management and highlight deviations to processes
  • Review and respond to audit queries on Aspect entries for Physical Operations
  • Set reporting controls to assist with accuracy and timely capturing of Aspect and SAP information
  • Drive the development of competent working team that will enhance and sustain staff capabilities in achieving high performance delivery
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to risk management policies, procedures, applicable legislative & regulatory requirements
  • Communicate, interpret and adhere to Engen's Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) policies and Zero Tolerance (ZeTo) rules to ensure individual safety and that if others
