Requirements
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA
  • A minimum of five years' relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in managing external audits and collaborating with senior leadership.
  • Proficient in financial reporting systems, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Detail oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience with Xero accounting systems or similar platforms.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage the group's consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS or relevant GAAP standards.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of monthly and annual financial reports to stakeholders, including the executive team and the board of directors.
  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of financial reports for regulatory filings.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring a smooth and efficient annual audit process.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of the company's fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting policies.
  • Develop, document, and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard financial integrity.
  • Provide recommendations for improving financial and operational processes to enhance controls and mitigate risks.
  • Work closely with the directors and managers to provide data for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Monitor and analyse financial data to support decision-making and identify key trends.
