A high-growth group of companies is looking for an ambitious, experienced Financial Manager who is ready to take full ownership of the finance function in a fast-scaling environment for their Agri and Retail Division.

You will work closely with the executive team, be comfortable with board reporting, enhance investment readiness, and play a pivotal role in shaping the company's next phase of growth.
The successful candidate will confidently lead a team and manage the end-to-end finance function.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
Finance Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Ensure a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Allocate responsibilities effectively and ensure consistent delivery against deadlines.
- Build and structure a scalable finance function aligned to rapid business growth.
End-to-End Financial Management
- Take full ownership of the finance function across the business.
- Oversee monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and multi-entity variance analysis.
- Ensure strong internal controls, governance, and financial accuracy.
- Guarantee the integrity, completeness, and timelines of all financial information.
Strategic Finance & Commercial Business Partnering
- Drive scenario modelling and forward-looking strategic analysis.
- Prepare and present board-level reporting and financial insights.
- Identify financial risks, growth opportunities, and key performance trends.
Tax, Compliance & Structuring
- Oversee tax compliance, including:
- Income Tax
- VAT
- PAYE
- Statutory submissions
- Design and manage tax structuring that supports scalable growth.
- Manage audit processes and relationships with external auditors.
- Own management accounts, reporting frameworks, and board packs.
- Drive real-time financial visibility to support executive decision-making.
- Evaluate and implement appropriate finance systems, tools, and controls.
- Strengthen data-driven reporting and analytical capabilities.
Requirements
- CA / CIMA / SAIPA advantageous.
- At least 5 years relevant experience or 3 years post articles experience.
- Tax experience would be advantageous.
- Exposure to multi-entity environments would be beneficial.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capability.
- Experience in Xero would be advantageous.
- Strategic thinker with strong operational execution ability.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Comfortable operating in a scaling, high-growth environment.
- Ability to design and implement innovative, structured solutions.
