Financial Controller

A leading JSE-listed company is seeking a financial guru, where you'll play a key role in the overall financial management of the activities of the region to provide financial assistance to the Regional Manager. The role is based in Germiston

• Ensure timely and accurate review and preparation of management accounts and reports for management
• Manage financial controls
• Ensure compliance to VAT, Tax, Customs, IFRS, policies and procedures, risk and implement corrective measures for non-compliance
• Maintain the integrity of the financial systems
• Manage and lead staff
• Manage capex applications
• Ensure up to date status of records for year-end including debtors, creditors and fixed assets for the region
• Resolve reconciling items on debtors and creditors
• Approve UCR numbers for indirect exports
• Ensure stock procedures are followed
• Monitoring expenses in line with group policy
• Ensure adequate policies and procedures are in place and SOPs are adhered to
• Manage the month-end, interim and year-end accounting process
• Ensure intercompany accounts are balanced on a monthly basis
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Preparation of the weekly flash
• Manage the payment process for waste and trade creditors
• Assist with commercial related decisions

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CA(SA) or CIMA will be an added bonus
• At least 5 years management experience in a financial position
• Ful MS Office package experience and knowledge of JDE will be beneficial

Salary: +- R600k - R700k PA CTC
