This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled finance professional to step into a pivotal role as a Financial Business Partner. Supporting multiple dealerships in the Western Cape, the position combines strategic insight with hands-on operational involvement. The successful candidate will act as the key link between finance and dealership operations, driving profitability, efficiency, compliance, and sustainable growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on partnering with diverse stakeholders, delivering value-adding insights, and ensuring financial excellence across dynamic business environments

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for dealerships.
  • Prepare rolling forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Analyse monthly management accounts and variance reports, presenting insights to Dealer Principals and Finance.
  • Support decision-making through scenario analysis and business modelling.
  • Partner with Dealer Principals and department managers (Sales, Parts, Aftersales) to improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide profitability analysis across revenue streams (new vehicles, used vehicles, aftersales, parts, warranties).
  • Develop and monitor dealership-specific KPIs aligned with group strategy.
  • Provide financial guidance on new business opportunities, expansions, and strategic projects.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial packs.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, company policies, and audit requirements.
  • Manage dealership cashflow requirements and provide forecasts.
  • Monitor debtor and creditor balances, escalating risks proactively.
  • Ensure effective stock funding and reporting of floorplan facilities.
  • Strengthen internal controls, focusing on debtors, creditors, stock, and warranty claims.
  • Highlight risks with proposed mitigations.
  • Support dealership finance teams in daily operations and provide training where needed.
  • Drive alignment and consistency across dealership finance practices

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance , Accounting, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in financial analysis, management accounting, or business partnering.
  • Automotive industry/dealership experience highly advantageous.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of dealership operations (sales, aftersales, parts).
  • Advanced financial modelling and variance analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in Keyloop / Kerridge or equivalent dealership ERP systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to partner with non-finance managers.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Financial planning and analysis expertise.
  • Strategic and operational support capabilities.
  • Reporting and compliance knowledge (IFRS, audit processes).
  • Cashflow and working capital management.
  • Risk and control management.
  • Staff support and development
