About the Team We're looking for an energetic, structured, and relationship-driven Finance Partner & Shared Services Coordinator to join the South Africa Shared Services organisation.This role sits within Global Finance and works closely with shared services leadership, Global Technology, Global Operations, and corporate functions across regions. About the Role This role combines finance business partnering with shared services coordination , supporting the effective operation, governance, and performance of the South Africa Shared Services organisation within a global context.You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across functions and geographies, providing financial insight, coordinating governance and operating rhythms, and helping shared services operate with clarity, discipline, and purpose.While collaboration with the LexisNexis South Africa commercial business is important, the role is firmly anchored within Shared Services and focused on enabling shared services as a distinct enterprise capability .The ideal candidate brings a positive, proactive, and pragmatic mindset - someone who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, enjoys connecting people and processes, and can combine financial rigour with strong stakeholder engagement. You'll be someone who takes ownership, builds credibility through insight and reliability, and contributes to a collaborative, delivery-focused culture. Responsibilities Finance Business Partner - South Africa Shared Services (50%) Act as a trusted finance partner to shared services leadership and key functional stakeholders Provide clear, credible financial insight to support planning, prioritisation, and decision-making in a matrixed environment Lead and support budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes for shared services including overhead cost allocations Deliver insightful monthly performance analysis, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities Support shared services leaders in articulating cost, value, and performance to regional and global stakeholders Support scenario analysis and financial assessments related to growth, change, and scaling initiatives Contribute to productivity, efficiency, and cost-management initiatives in partnership with operational leaders Ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and well understood by non-finance stakeholders Shared Services Coordination (50%) Act as a key point of connection between Shared Services leadership, Global Technology, Global Operations, and corporate functions, helping to clarify ownership and manage interdependencies Coordinate shared services activities across functions to ensure alignment with agreed objectives, priorities, and governance requirements Support the application of Group policies, local statutory requirements, and governance standards across shared services including Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) tracking and reporting in partnership with HR as well as internal and external audit processes Supporting the development of a consistent shared services culture, identity, and operating discipline across functions, reinforcing shared services as a distinct organisational capability Coordinate management forums, operational reviews, and reporting cycles involving stakeholders across functions, regions, and reporting lines Ensure appropriate documentation, approvals, and administrative processes are maintained in line with local and global expectations Facilitate growth in the shared service across RELX while contributing to the evolution of governance and operating practices as the organisation grows and scales Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field Ideally a qualified accountant (CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent), but not essential At least 5 years demonstrated experience in finance business partnering, shared services finance, or operational finance Experience in a shared service environment preferred Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis Strong analytical capability, with the ability to translate financial information into practical insights High attention to detail, combined with an ability to operate at an enterprise and cross-functional level Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with senior leaders in a matrixed environment A proactive, organised, and solutions-oriented approach to work Work in a Way That Works for You We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation and offer an appealing working environment for our people.
