Job Description

Our client is seeking a Finance Assistant / Junior Bookkeeper based in Cape Town for a permanent position within a finance-driven operational environment. The successful candidate will support the daily finance function, with a strong focus on invoicing, reconciliations, debtors, and reporting. QuickTrav experience is essential.

Requirements:
  • Matric (Grade 12) - Essential
  • Certificate or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or Bookkeeping - Advantageous
  • 2-5 years' experience in a finance/accounts assistant / junior bookkeeping role
  • Experience working on QuickTrav - Non-negotiable
  • Experience with debtors, invoicing, and reconciliations
  • Proficient in MS Excel (formulas, basic reporting)
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing and issuing customer invoices
  • Pulling and compiling financial and operational reports
  • Performing credit card reconciliations
  • Managing the debtors function (allocations, statements, collections, follow-ups)
  • Assisting with month-end procedures and reconciliations
  • Capturing financial transactions accurately on QuickTrav
  • Supporting the finance department with ad hoc administrative and finance-related duties
  • Ensuring compliance with company financial procedures and controls
