Join Epiroc as a Field Service Technician and play a vital role in supporting underground bolting, drilling, loading, and hauling operations. In this hands on role, you'll deliver specialized technical support, perform scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs, and troubleshoot both conventional and autonomous equipment systems. By driving reliability, minimizing downtime, and coaching mine personnel on safe and effective equipment use, you'll uphold Epiroc's high standards of safety, quality, and innovation, helping our customers achieve sustainable productivity every day.

What you'll do

  • Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on Epiroc underground equipment, covering hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment failures, including advanced RCS and automation systems, to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Carry out scheduled services and breakdown repairs, conducting root cause analysis and collaborating with Engineering teams on sustainable solutions.
  • Provide technical support and training to mine personnel and Epiroc employees on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a technical ambassador and promoting aftermarket services to support business growth.
  • Maintain accurate service records, manage tools/vehicles, and ensure spare parts availability as required.
  • Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards, actively participating in risk assessments, safety meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll bring

  • Grade 12 with a recognised trade test qualification (Electrical or Millwright).
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in the maintenance and repair of underground mining equipment, specifically drilling, bolting, loading, and hauling machinery.
  • Experience with Epiroc equipment and advanced RCS troubleshooting is highly advantageous.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and fault finding on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and automation systems.
