A well-established private game lodge is seeking a passionate and professional Field Guide to join its dynamic hospitality team. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic conservation ambassador who thrives in a wilderness environment and is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences through immersive and educational safari activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct interpretive game drives and bush walks in a safe, engaging, and professional manner
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences aligned with lodge standards
  • Share in-depth knowledge of wildlife, ecology, and conservation practices
  • Lodge Manintenance
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and reserve regulations
  • Maintain and care for safari vehicles and guiding equipment
  • Assist with reserve conservation initiatives where required
  • Support lodge operations and collaborate with the broader hospitality team
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and proactively address queries
Requirements
  • Nature Site Guide qualification (NQF Level 2 or higher)
  • Valid First Aid certificate
  • Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
  • Registered with relevant guiding authority
  • Rifle competency (where required)
  • Previous guiding experience in a Big Five environment preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong bush knowledge and passion for conservation
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
