An upmarket, professional and established financial planning corporation is seeking a qualified attorney, LLB and admitted, to play a pivotal role in safeguarding their clients' legacies. This is an exceptional opportunity to apply your legal expertise in estate and trust law while providing clients with confidence, clarity, and peace of mind.

As the Fiduciary Specialist, you will ensure every Will and trust document is meticulously drafted and fully compliant. Your work will extend to independent trusteeship, ad hoc trust instructions, and legal advisory support across a broad range of fiduciary matters. This is a role where precision, care, and efficiency are essential, and where your contribution directly impacts the security and satisfaction of their clients.

This is a full time in office role - Monday - Friday based in Dunkeld West, Sandton region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft and review Wills, Living Wills, Letters of Wishes, and trust documents, ensuring full compliance and accuracy.
  • Provide legal advice on estate planning matters and participate in client meetings alongside the Director.
  • Engage directly with clients, financial planners, beneficiaries, and co trustees, providing clear guidance and support.
  • Administer trusts, including independent trusteeship and ad hoc trust instructions, ensuring compliance with legal, fiduciary, and regulatory obligations.
  • Oversee legal documentation for new inter vivos and testamentary trusts, amendments, and resolutions.
Requirements
  • LLB degree and admitted attorney in South Africa.
  • Minimum of 5+ years' practical legal experience, ideally in Wills, estates, or trusts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with SharePoint and Teams advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple workflows efficiently.
  • Empathetic, professional, and confident in client facing situations.
  • Sound working knowledge of fiduciary, estate, and trust legal principles.
