FET English Home Language Educator

We are looking for an inspiring, articulate, and experienced Senior English Educator to join our Languages English Department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for literature, a mastery of linguistic nuances, and a proven ability to prepare students for the demands of the National Senior Certificate.

• Literary & Linguistic Excellence: Plan and deliver instructional activities that foster critical thinking, essay writing skills, and a deep understanding of set works (Poetry, Drama, and Novels).
• Curriculum Development: Develop comprehensive schemes of work and lesson plans that align with the latest assessment requirements.
• Diverse Instruction: Identify and select varied instructional resources to meet the diverse literacy levels and learning styles of students.
• Digital Literacy: Utilize relevant educational technology to support instruction and enhance the learning of modern media and language.
• Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student performance in creative writing, comprehension, and literature with regular, detailed feedback.
• School Stewardship: Fulfil Class Tutorship responsibilities and participate in departmental, school, and parent meetings.
• Holistic Contribution: Active participation in the school's Extra and Co-curricular programs.

• Professional Registration: Active SACE registration with a permanent SACE number.
