Job Description

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for expanding the portfolio of clients for the region, as well as ensuring continued sales and support with existing CENTURION customers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintaining and developing strong relationships with existing clientele and strategic partners, providing support, information and guidance
  • Visiting distributors and installers regularly, ensuring that our service levels are met
  • Ensuring that at all customer outlets, Centurion is well represented and that displays, brochures, and posters are always up to date
  • Identifying and visiting commercial sites (Complexes, Business developments, Office parks, etc.) to set up meetings and present access control solutions to the relevant stakeholders
  • Ensuring that Branch Sales Targets are met monthly.
  • Providing structured and detailed feedback /call reports to the Branch Manager
  • Promoting, planning and presenting training courses and product presentations, diligently
  • Providing feedback on competitors, pricing, new products, marketing, etc.
  • Addressing product issues that arise from customer visits, and ensuring that queries are properly addressed and that feedback is given to the relevant parties
  • Researching leads for new customers for Centurion products and making successful contact
  • Ensuring that you are up to date with new and existing products
  • Assisting with internal sales/training (processing of orders, handling queries and customer complaints, etc.)
  • Checking and ensuring that existing and potential clients' details are correct and updated on the Centurion database.
  • Contributing to the team effort - participating in the morning MBU meetings and ensuring that all departments are seen in a "good light" by our clients, by addressing issues and ensuring that there is excellent inter-departmental communication
  • Assisting with ad-hoc duties from time to time, such as stock take & deliveries
  • Assisting the technical department with an occasional site visit to assess a product failure or incorrect installation
  • Business partner activities include, but are not limited to - Marketing & Promotions, Training, Geographical area growth, Business development
  • Planning & Coordinating Distributor & Area sales strategies to assist with business development
Qualifications and other Requirements
  • A minimum of matric with a sound knowledge and/or understanding of both electronic or mechanical equipment.
  • At least 1-2 years' experience in a technical sales environment with a proven track record.
  • Formal sales training will be advantageous.
  • In possession of a valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle
