Overview

Fixed Term vacancies exist for 2 x EWP Social Workers based at the Life Health Solution Regional office in Rustenburg. The successful candidates will report to the Business Manager. The EWP Social Worker will be responsible to manage the mining site's operations and to render a quality service that is effective and efficient and meets and exceeds the Client's expectations and requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate wellness events according to the annual plan.
  • Conduct wellness needs assessments, recommend interventions and coordinate the implementation of the Programme of activities.
  • Educate employees on overall wellbeing.
  • Promote nutrition for a healthy lifestyle of employees.
  • Promote healthy productivity and workplace cooperation.
  • Educate employees on the prevention of chronic and lifestyle-related illnesses.
  • Counsel troubled employees and their immediate family members.
  • Manage incapacity and disability cases.
  • Provide psychosocial support to employees who are about to retire.
  • Provide information sessions on wellness-related challenges (e.g., debt and gambling, sick leave abuse).
  • Build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Requirements
  • Degree in Behavioral Sciences (B.A in Social Work).
  • Registered with a relevant professional body.
  • Driver license is compulsory (Code 8).
  • Strong ethics and accountability.
  • Adhere to ethical practices, organizational values and confidentiality.
  • Computer literate (MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook, and Internet).
  • Understand relevant EAP legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of financial management.
  • Strong knowledge of the Iconnect Portal.
  • Skills: conflict resolution, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and planning & organizing.
