Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead maintenance and engineering operations within a fast-paced poultry production environment. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, reliableand cost-effective plant operations while driving continuous improvement.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on engineering leader who thrives in high-performance environments and enjoys solving complex operational challenges.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be in possession of an Electrical / Mechanical Engineers Certificate of Competency for Factories.
  • Should have an electrical or mechanical engineering qualification.
Required Experience
  • At least 10 years' maintenance / engineering experience within a Poultry / FMCG / Food manufacturing environment.
  • Must have a clear and proven ability to operate within a pressurized and fast paced production environment.
  • Knowledge of the 20 Keys Program will be an added advantage.
The ideal candidate would be responsible for:
  • Safe operation of the processing and utilities plant as per the OHS Act 85 of 1993.
  • Effective management of downtimethrough focused and results driven management strategies.
  • Planning, costing and execution of capital projects.
  • Compiling of annual maintenance budget.
  • Overall cost control within maintenance environment.
  • Managing of a large engineering/maintenance labour compliment.
  • Implementation and maintenance of various 20 Keys projects within the engineering/ Maintenance department.
  • Enforcing and maintaining continued sustainability projects within the engineering department as per group policy.
  • Daily interaction with various departmental and inter-Group role players at senior managerial level.
