DescriptionOur client in the financial advisory and healthcare solutions industry based is seeking to employ an Employee Benefits Advisor to join their team based in Kloof, Durban.
The Employee Benefits Advisor is responsible for establishing new employee benefit client relationships, maintaining and growing existing portfolios, and strategically developing the employee benefits team.
The role requires strong compliance knowledge, client engagement capability, and the ability to deliver strategic benefit solutions to management committees and members.
Requirements- RE5 qualification
- Class of Business completed as appropriate
- Strong understanding of FAIS and FICA requirements
- Proven experience in Employee Benefits advisory
- CRM Systems
- MS Office, Teams and Sharepoint
- Present to management committees
- Conduct annual review and member presentations
- Monitor employee benefit revenue reporting for completeness and accuracy
- Agree and document services to be provided
- Provide and explain regulatory disclosures
- Draft and sign service level agreements and mandates
- Conduct financial needs analysis for employee benefit members
- Source quotations and prepare product recommendations
- Consolidate recommendations and action steps into presentations for management committees
- Ensure clients complete and sign all required documentation
- Adhere to compliance, operational procedures, and practice management standards
- Execute and monitor post-meeting action items
- Maintain required CPD points
- Communicate instructions clearly to internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain a professional, friendly, and client-centric approach
- Implement systems to track and monitor:
- FICA and FAIS compliance
- Service level agreements and mandates
- CRM updates
- Timeous reviews and servicing
- Create an environment that encourages team growth and excellence
- Identify and support training and development opportunities
- Attend regular team meetings
- Mentor employees where appropriate
