Electrician

The main purpose of this position is the maintenance of all electrical installations and equipment on the plant and the installation of new electrical equipment.

• Responsible for all electrical work including plant maintenance, preventative maintenance, projects, breakdowns, and shutdowns.
• Responsible for the installation of new electrical equipment.
• Responsible for the maintenance of all instrumentation and installation.
• Perform Legal inspection on services.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and repair faulty equipment.

• Participate in safety forums created by Soill for example safety meetings and safety talks.
• Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings / committees / representatives / management.
• Report all safety incidents to the relevant people.
• Attend safety education and refresher programmes.
• Comply with safety policies and procedures at Soill.
• Distribute safety information as and when required.
• Wear protective clothing (where applicable) at all times.

• Grade 12
• Qualified with applicable Trade Certificate
• Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience
• PLC experience with fault finding essential
• Certified installation electrician advantageous
• Knowledge of HACCP and Safety procedures advantageous
• Experience of Hazardous Electrical installations advantageous
• Robotic packaging equipment experience will be advantageous
• Experience with variable frequency/speed drives
• Valid code B driver's license
