The Position

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead the electrical installation works for a small water treatment plant on the Dampier Peninsula.

In this role you will supervise a small team of electricians, trade assistants and subcontractors to ensure electrical works are completed safely, to quality standards, and in line with the project schedule.

The position operates on a full-time FIFO role from Perth or DIDO from Broome, working a 2:1 roster with 12-hour shifts. Applicants based in the Kimberley region are encouraged to apply and flexibility on roster can be discussed.

This worksite is located within or near a First Nations community. Personnel are guests on traditional lands and must act with respect and cultural awareness.

Key Duties
  • Supervise electrical installation works associated with water treatment plant equipment and stand-alone power system.
  • Supervise electrical installation works associated with stand along power system.
  • Supervise subcontractors delivering civil and mechanical scope.
  • Lead electricians and trade assistants during daily construction activities.
  • Ensure electrical works are completed safely and meet required quality standards.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits and safety interactions with crews and subcontractors.
  • Provide mentorship to apprentices and other upskilling roles.
  • Monitor crew competency, training and licence requirements.
  • Track progress of electrical works and report to the construction manager.
  • Assist with short-term planning, lookaheads and scheduling of electrical tasks.
  • Identify risks, delays or potential change requirements.
  • Ensure electrical tools, equipment and materials are available and maintained.
Qualifications & Experience
  • WA Electrical Worker Licence.
  • Construction White Card.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • LVR / CPR Certification.
  • Working at Heights.
  • EWP High Risk Work Licence (WP).
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Basic Riggin -RB.
  • Experience supervising works on water infrastructure, pump stations or treatment plants.
  • Experience working on remote construction projects.
