PURPOSE:

As an Electrical Engineer at Terra Firma , you will play a key role in supporting the development, performance, and reliability of our renewable energy projects. The role focuses on ensuring that electrical systems across solar, storage, and related energy infrastructure are designed, integrated, and operated to the highest technical and safety standards.

You will contribute to project delivery, grid integration, commissioning, and ongoing performance optimisation of our energy assets, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation and operational excellence. Through your expertise, you will help deliver sustainable energy solutions that support businesses and contribute to a cleaner energy future.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering
• Valid Driver's Licence
• Own Car
• Willing to travel

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 3+ years' experience in an Electrical Engineering Environment
• Reading and producing electrical network diagrams

TECHNICAL PREFERENCES:

• PVSOL/PVSYST
• CAD experience
• MV and Substation design
• Perform and review power system studies
• Experience with energy efficiency projects
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Responsibilities:

Solar Project Engineering (key focus area)

• Preliminary Design of Grid Tied, Hybrid and Microgrid Solar PV systems
• Detailed Design of Grid Tied, Hybrid and Microgrid Solar PV systems
• Commissioning assistance for Grid Tied, Hybrid and Microgrid Solar PV systems
• Contribute to Compiling of Project Budgets
• Compiling of Construction Drawings and Project documentation
• Site Investigations & Quality Inspections
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting
• Technical support and client liaison including troubleshooting
• Mentor and assist in training of graduate engineers
