Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Draughtsman (Solar / PV) to join the Port Elizabeth team,

Responsibilities
  • Preliminarysystem sizing and arrangement
  • Completedetailed electrical designs for construction
  • Preparationof engineering calculations and studies to support design activities
  • Preparationof equipment specifications
  • Preparationof construction specifications
  • Standardsand code compliance reviews
  • Conductinspections of under construction and operating solar plants
  • Developmentof bespoke calculations and analysis tools
  • Liaisewith external technical firms when required
  • Preparationof reports on system designs, metrics and assessed KPI's
  • Workwith drafts in assistance of site drawings and specifications for existing andnew clients
  • Submitwarranty claims
  • Conductsite visits when needed to conduct firmware updates etc
Requirements
  • National Diploma or Certificate in ElectricalEngineering preferred
  • 2-5 years'experience in electrical draughting
  • Provenexperience in solar PV projects (commercial and/or residential)
  • Advanced MSExcel and AutoCAD
  • Experience withHelioScope, SketchUp, Solidworks, Inkscape and Affinity
