An award winning distributor of high-end skincare products to premium salons across South Africa is hiring. The Educator's primary responsibility is to deliver high-impact, practical live and online education and training on the company's brands to therapists, beauty consultants, distributors, salon teams and consumers. The role focuses on enhancing product knowledge, while supporting sales initiatives and ensuring consistent brand standards across salons, franchises, distributors and training institutions. This is a hands-on, field-based position that works closely with the Sales, Franchise and Training teams, and requires quarterly travel to other provinces.
Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver brand, product and treatment training to therapists, salon and retail teams in line with brand standards.
Conduct in-salon, online and regional office education sessions, workshops and refresher training to improve confidence, execution and retail conversion.
Support retail initiatives to strengthen product recommendation skills and increase sell-through.
Ensure consistent application of SOPs, treatment protocols and brand messaging across all training touchpoints.
Partner with the Sales and Franchise teams to support sales growth through targeted education initiatives.
Assist with skin analysis days, promotions and in-trade activations to drive sales performance.
Provide support to sales representatives to enhance in-salon performance and product uptake.
Support sales plans by adapting training approaches to changing market conditions and customer needs.
Support the franchise division by ensuring brand identity, education standards and consistent execution of SOPs across franchise salons.
Assist franchise salons with soft skills training, including consultation skills, client communication and retail confidence, to improve customer experience and business sustainability.
Act as a brand ambassador, building strong relationships with salons, key accounts, distributors and industry stakeholders.
Assist the Curriculum Manager with the development and refinement of training content, manuals and educational materials.
Contribute to assessment tools, testing methodologies and analysis of training outcomes to ensure learning effectiveness.
Support the rollout of new products, treatments and brand updates through structured education programmes.
Stay up to date with skincare trends, competitor activity and industry developments to ensure training remains relevant and competitive.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Somatology, Beauty Therapy or Skincare (essential).
Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Therapist, Trainer or Brand Educator within the professional skincare industry (advantageous).
Strong knowledge of professional skincare products, treatments and consultation techniques.
Experience in training delivery, preferably in a field-based or commercial environment.
Strong presentation, facilitation and coaching skills.
Commercial mindset with an understanding of retail sales and sell-through drivers.
Ability to translate technical product knowledge into practical, easy-to-apply training.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Comfortable working cross-functionally with teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Teams and PowerPoint.
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively.
High level of professionalism and strong brand representation.
Passion for skincare education and continuous learning.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand standards.
