Job Description

A client leading in the retail sector is seeking for a highly skilled and experienced Draughtsman to join their team at the head office in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings, 3D models, and layouts that support the company's projects. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD 3D, Revit and strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD 3D.
  • Develop and maintain Revit models and RCP (Reflected Ceiling Plans) for ongoing projects.
  • Interpret and translate architectural floorplans into accurate technical drawings.
  • Ensure all drawings meet company standards, specifications, and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers and project managers to refine designs.
  • Review drawings for accuracy, completeness and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain organized project files, records and version control of drawings.
  • Support project planning by providing technical input and design solutions.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior drafting staff when needed.
Minimum Requirements
  • Matric certificate.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in draughting.
  • At least 5 years' experience in the drafting field.
  • Ability to read and interpret floorplans.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 3D.
  • Proficiency in Revit models and RCP.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
