Diesel Technician - Sandton

Our well-known Logistics Supply Chain client based in Sandton currently holds a vacancy for a qualified Diesel Technician, minimum 3 years' experience.

• To ensure that vehicles are serviced and maintained according to the schedule and inspection check lists.
• Strong knowledge of heavy-duty trucks: Scania / Mercedes / UD / Volvo
• Emergency repairs on vehicles / equipment assess and prioritize emergency breakdowns.
• Own Tools are essential to their company standard

• Welding and cutting material if required, using arc welding, flame cutting or grinder equipment.

• Own Transport.
• Grade 12.
• Be willing to work overtime, standby and be available for call outs as and when required.
• Must have good people skills.
• Computer literacy would be an added advantage.
• Must be able to work unsupervised.
• Must have good knowledge on basic auto electrical and repairs.
• Must have experience on Tail lifts (Hydraulics).
• Working overtime and doing standby is compulsory.
• Must take responsibility for workmanship.
• Must comply to health and safety guidelines.
• Must be able to relocate if need.
• Must have RED seal trade test.
• Must have sober behavior.
• Must be clean and presentable on himself.
