Job Description

Essence of the job:

Responsible for repair and maintenance of all heavy earth moving equipment consisting of excavators, articulated dump trucks, dozers, graders and front-end loaders in a company. This will include preventative and planned maintenance and electrical breakdowns, planning work schedules, working overtime and weekend standby will be required from time to time, a good knowledge of safe working procedures and task-based risk assessments will be mandatory.

Qualifications:
  • Diesel Mechanic Trade Test (MUST).
  • Valid Driver's license.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must have 3 years' experience in a mining environment.
  • Servicing heavy mobile equipment.
  • Attend to breakdowns and carry out the necessary repairs on earth moving equipment.
  • Health and safety on site.
