Developer Internship

Duration: 12 months (Including a 3-month probation period)

Location: Office-based position in Johannesburg

Sybrin is a leading provider of innovative software solutions across Africa and beyond. We're offering a 12-month internship opportunity for aspiring Developers to join our Technology division.

This internship provides hands on experience in designing, building, and maintaining real world software applications. You'll be part of a collaborative team, working on exciting projects that drive value for our clients and support our mission of delivering cutting edge technology.

• Assist in the development and maintenance of software applications
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code under the guidance of senior developers
• Participate in team discussions, sprint planning, and code reviews
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues
• Contribute to the documentation and testing of applications
• Learn and apply development best practices and standards

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a qualification in IT, Computer Science, or Software Development
• Basic programming knowledge in one or more languages (e.g., C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript)
• Familiarity with development frameworks such as .NET, React, or Angular (preferred but not required)
• Understanding of database concepts and SQL
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies

• Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a willingness to ask questions
• Proactive, motivated, and keen to build a career in software development

• Real world experience in application development
• Mentorship and guidance from experienced developers
• Exposure to agile software development processes
