Overview

iMasFinance is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to join our Information Technology team at our offices in Centurion. The successful incumbent will be required to complete user requests within the SLA and maintain all iMas workstations according to best practice, ensuring that all IT equipment is in working order. Preference is given to candidates from designated groups, specifically our target group of African Males and employees with disabilities, in support of the transformation strategy.

Responsibilities
  • First line user support.
  • Trouble shooting and / or solution and / or completion of incidents within SLA.
  • Escalate incidents to 2nd level support.
  • Management feedback.
  • Planning and roll out of a new site.
  • Hardware and Software Projects as per business requirements.
  • Workstation set-up, image set-up and maintenance.
Qualifications
  • Grade 12
  • Higher Certificate - A+; MCP is essential
  • Advanced Higher Certificate - ITIL knowledge; N+ Qualification; MCSE is recommended
Experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' applicable experience
Knowledge And Skills
  • Understanding of all aspects relating to IT Infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Servers, Desktops, Security, Telecoms, Microsoft)
  • Working and current knowledge of Desktop Operating Systems
  • Problem solving skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Technological acumen
  • Project Management Skills (Ability to work in Project Teams)
  • Customer Relations
