Role Summary:

The key purpose of this role is to inspect all returned material for Damage, Dirty and Repairs, check material accurately and record on Care program, count material in stock yard and warehouse, operate forklift in loading, unload, stack materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
  • Inspect all returns and record on Care program.
  • Ensures quality control through checking material in Stockyard.
  • Effective inventory management.
  • Accurate daily stock counts performed on cycle counts.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with Inventory Manager, Controller and Supervisor.
  • Accurate checking, loading, and unloading of vehicles.
  • Load Summary used to load correct quantities of split and full pallets.
  • Accurate recording of returns and delivery's prior to unloading and loading.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections prior to the start of each shift using the forklift inspectio checklist.
  • Ensure that the forklift is operated and maintained in optimal condition.
  • Ensure that fuel and fluids are at accepted operating levels.
Qualifications & Skill/Attributes:

Qualifications

  • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Valid forklift driver license

Previous Checker and Forklift driving experience
