Job PurposeEffective and efficient co-ordination and execution of sales and logistics within the DC to achieve DC and Customer's objectives in order to deliver customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities Sales- Vital role player in achieving budgeted growth across categories.
- Advise of any discrepancy of promotional timings, pricing and order quantities to ensure effective execution of promotional activity.
- Drive promotional activities with the sales team as per monthly priority sheets.
- Drive depth of distribution on innovation SKU's.
- Process store orders from Sales Team at DC level.
- Vital back up link by coordinating with call cycles to ensure correct order frequency.
- Generate sales report and compare to established order patterns and predict possible issues.
- Know the Customer's strategy and objectives to increase sales and assist with execution.
- Weekly order fulfillment of 100% across all SKU's with zero pricing errors.
- Monitor critical lists and stock and communicate to relevant stakeholders both in DC and the Customer.
- Report short deliveries, transport/distribution issues, turnaround times, and delivery on time to relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor deliveries and ensure stock is receipted in against the ordered quantities.
- Monitor stock ordered by stores and ensure is corresponds to stock being dispatched to stores.
- Monitor stock levels against promotional activity.
- Communicate stock with low stock levels to relevant buyer.
- Opening orders on new listings-drive with buyer and communicate opening orders to the team.
- Communicate delivery schedules with the DC.
- Advise Customer stock controller of discontinued lines to ensure the running down of stock to prevent excessive uplifts.
- Daily monitoring of data capturing on orders received to reflect in system (buyer to EDI to distribution into DC).
- 100% execution of orders between EDI, sales and distribution.
- Handling of DC and store specific issues including:
- Late deliveries.
- Short deliveries.
- Thermal abuse.
- Quality of stock upon delivery.
- Short dated stock.
- Expired stock.
- Product recalls/up lifts from stores.
- Claims for Same Day Returns and Uplifts and manage the claims procedure in the DC.
- Attend any DC Meetings where Representation is required in order to build and maintain a strong relationship with Customer from an operational point of view.
- Matric.
- 2 year's experience in sales and Distribution or in a similar role.
- Computer literacy.
- Advanced in Microsoft Excel.
- Good communication and written skills.
