The Senior Server & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for managing, securing, and optimising enterprise server and datacentre services across both on-premises and Azure environments. This role ensures high-quality service delivery, drives operational efficiency, manages disaster recovery capabilities, and continuously improves infrastructure performance to meet business and supplier requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage security requirements for server and datacentre services (on-premises and Azure).
  • Oversee services to meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Requirements (SLRs) for business and supplier needs.
  • Ensure effective implementation and compliance with technology standards in the server environment.
  • Identify and implement components necessary to deliver services in line with Operational Level Agreements (OLAs).
  • Manage day-to-day service delivery, ensuring quality and resolving service failures.
  • Coordinate, direct, and evaluate the operations of the server and cloud environment.
  • Monitor system performance and configuration to ensure optimal operations.
  • Oversee incident resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Drive continuous service improvements to maximise efficiency and quality of Wintel and Oracle services.
  • Manage disaster recovery strategies and capabilities.
  • Optimise, scale, and advance cloud-hosting capabilities to support business growth.
Requirements
  • Strong expertise in Windows Server (Wintel) and Oracle environments.
  • Azure cloud infrastructure management and hybrid environment experience.
  • Datacentre operations and server lifecycle management.
  • ITIL-based service management: SLA, SLR, and OLA management.
  • Incident, problem, and service delivery management.
  • Disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Infrastructure security and compliance management.
  • Performance monitoring, capacity planning, and optimisation.
  • Vendor/supplier management and operational coordination.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years in server, cloud, and infrastructure management roles.
  • ITIL Foundation or higher certification preferred.
  • Experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
